Fizz Champagne Bar is finally open in Sacramento!
You have no idea how happy I was when I first learned that a champagne bar would be opening up here. Well, maybe you did when you saw this post :), but this is a dream come true! I’ve anxiously watched for announcements and news from Fizz and a couple of weeks ago, I received the email I’d been waiting for: “Soft Opening on October 19th.” YES, YES, YES! I reached out and I was able to check Fizz out a day early and invited some of my Blog Bloc-ers!
Fizz Champagne Bar is the latest and greatest establishment to hit the grid, DOCO to be specific. Fizz is the perfect hang out for everyone. They have a variety of options, including small plates and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Fizz can handle your crew, your significant other, or yourself with numerous seating options including a patio!
Fizz Champagne Bar is brought to us by Sacramento native Raymond James Irwin. Raymond James’ background is in hospitality, having worked at fine establishments in Cleveland and Chicago as well as traveled around the world. With those experiences, the dream of bringing a unique experience to his hometown never left him. I’m so glad he chose to do it with Fizz!
If you meet Raymond James, you’ll feel his zest for life and joy for celebrating every day immediately. When you enter Fizz, he makes you feel like you’ve entered his home, taking the time to explain the menu, and perfectly describing every aspect of the wines you’ll enjoy. He even had custom made wallpaper for the space, incorporating iconic wine labels. I have such an appreciation and respect for him and I’m not sure how we didn’t meet until now. We have so many mutual friends in Sacramento!
There are many flights to enjoy, but I opted for the Around The World flight, which included a Brut from Oregon, a Reserve Cava from Spain, and an Italian Prosecco. Some of my TBB fam enjoyed the Rosé All Day flight, which includes rosé wines from Mendocino County, South Africa and France. Fizz has a small menu of bites, including a charcuterie board, caviar, toasts, and even oysters! Can you see why I’m loving this place?
Enough talking! Enjoy some photos from my visit:
