My Experience Using Shoot My Travel

    May 31, 2018lifestyle, travel

Commonwealth Avenue Mall, Boston, Massachusetts, Shoot My Travel

Over the past year, I have started hiring photographers in the cities I visit. The search can get timely (the rabbit hole of hashtag searching is REAL) and I’m so happy that I have found a solution to quality photography with competitive pricing and a quick turnaround: Shoot My Travel.

    About Shoot My Travel

Shoot My Travel is a female-founded company (woot-woot!) that connects travelers with professional photographers in over 230 destinations worldwide. Whether you’re going on a day trip or planning a week long vacation, you now have the flexibility to have those special moments captured!

When I decided I wanted a shoot on my visit to Boston, I viewed a handful of approved photographers on the Shoot My Travel website and I was able to go through samples of their work to see who’s style really spoke to me. I decided to shoot with Kelsey and I’m so glad I did! We had a blast!

    Why Hire a Photographer?

When you’re on vacation, do you feel the special travel magic that surrounds you? I know I do! All of a sudden your senses become a bit more acute and you’re able to appreciate being in a different place, immersing yourself in the local life. Capture that magic. Social media feeds come and go, but you’ll always have the photos – and great ones at that! You do not have to be a blogger to hire a photographer on your travels. Let a professional capture some great moments of you, or you and your love, or your family.

    Where we shot in Boston

After a little back-and-forth with my photographer, we netted out at shooting on Commonwealth Ave. and its mall. I had taken a stroll there with CJ a couple of days earlier and was captivated by the trees, the architecture and the people watching. What can I say? I love East Coast living and I love visiting Boston. I wish I could live there. Every time I get the chance to visit with CJ, within about an hour, I say, “You still don’t want to move back home, huh?” or “Why don’t we move to Boston?” with puppy eyes. We’ll see about that… 🙂 Anyway, back to the shoot!

Being typical New England weather, the temperatures dipped and the rain came our way. While it didn’t rain during our shoot, the moisture in the air sure waved up my straight hair, but honestly, I love the richness of the images and that Kelsey captured my excitement, no matter the frizz.

Would I use Shoot My Travel Again? Heck Yes!

It was so convenient! Within 24 hours, I viewed my images and was able to select my 15 favorite ones through their website. I received a link to download them the next day!

Here are a few for you to enjoy.

Wednesday, we made it through!👩🏾‍💻🍷T Wednesday, we made it through!👩🏾‍💻🍷The last few weeks (and let’s just say year because we’re coming up on one year since lockdown) have been crazy, filled up with ups and downs for all of us.

And through it all, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with amazing, creative entrepreneurs that have:

▪️Found their voice + rhythm when it comes to communicating to their ideal client/customer/follower
▪️Pitched + landed PAID deals with their dream brand
▪️Increased their web presence (because I LOVE IG, but there’s other touchpoint and revenue opportunities OFF of the app)
▪️Launched digital and physical products
▪️Contributing to and being featured by publications

And, to me, the most transformative:

▪️Cultivating the courage to go after what they want relentlessly

That’s why I LOVE being #CoachKach.
It’s really so content creators, solopreneurs + creative business owners like you can blow through your lofty goals + grab control of your brand + life.

It’s never been easier than it is right now to do this. All you need is confidence and the right tools + support to get you there. And with one-on-one coaching with me, you’ll get just that.

I’m your digital bestie helping you navigate scaling your business using social, creating content, pitching brands + media and crafting your product/service offer.

▪️Get an opportunity that you’re not sure is taking advantage of your time and talent? Send it to me and we’ll chat it through.

▪️Need to make sure you’re not missing something in your launch plan because you’ve been looking at it too closely? I’m your second set of eyes with examples and other creatives to connect with.

▪️ Start feeling like you can’t do it? I’ll be there telling you YOU CAN — and showing you that you WILL.

If you’re ready to turn up the heat this year, shoot me a DM! I have O N E spot left for the next couple of months at this level of support. If you know you need this, but have questions, let’s talk + see if we can make it a reality for you.

This is the mood I am embodying all week as I talk This is the mood I am embodying all week as I talk back to the mean girl in my own head! That bitch always shows up right when I “get ready” to do something. What about you? Let’s face em together.

There is no right time.
There is no cheat code.
You just have to humble yourself, frickin show up and DO IT.
It can be as fun or regimented as you decide so long as you are moving in a forward direction, a direction that takes you closer to that goal.

Are you waiting for the right time? And no, I’m not asking for a friend. I’m asking for myself. There will be no more ideas living in a notebook until it “feels good.” If it feels good, it ain’t growth or taking US higher!

Celebrate the win in advance if you have to. Whatever gets you going (yes, I believe in dessert first).

WHAT HAS SNOWMAGEDDON TAUGHT ME? That there is po WHAT HAS SNOWMAGEDDON TAUGHT ME?

That there is power in community and Dallas reminds me a lot of Sacramento right now. Shoutout to @dallasites101 for going ALL OUT with their resources.

That love will always save the day and maybe not in the way you think but just in the way you need.

That having no power in or out of unit for days and not being able to leave because the roads are so bad is no fucking joke. Talk about a reality check and gratitude break on so many fronts.

That I really need to get my emergency kit to include “Snowy Conditions” and get a damn shovel + boots. Maybe a truck instead of the Mini? 🚙

Who knew it got like this in Dallas?! 🤯🤯🤯 I didn’t. AT ALL. We’re beyond blessed to have a warm and safe place right now with food, hot water and more.

Prayers up 🙏🏾for everyone that is going through it during this time and for those that still don’t have power, that can’t get to loved ones and those that are having a hard time dealing with this on top of the fact that we’re in a global pandemic. I always say the new year truly starts in February, but it looks like it might be March this time.

I heard it’s going to be 72 and ☀️next week… y’all, I can’t make this stuff up!

Are you affected by the weather?! Where are you located?
#KachetTakesDallas
Happy Monday, y’all! What is going on? Well, her Happy Monday, y’all! What is going on? Well, here are answers to your questions (😆😆):
◾️Yes, it’s snowing in Dallas...it’s 12 degrees right now. And it’s gonna be cold with potentially more snow this week. WTF
◾️We had power but now it’s off again...daytime is okay but night time sucks.
◾️I have on a fleece under here but of course when I posed, the sleeves pulled up in the coat (now I get the thumb hole concept...). I don’t own boots for this so my California is showing! ☀️🕶🌴
◾️ @lifeofrudytheboston HATES it as you can tell from his face...but he managed to run for at least 5 min with a pack of other dogs at the park. Thank the LAWD.
◾️ Being snowed in in a city that doesn’t do snow feels crazy. But it’s kind of nice and this will make a helluva story one day.

How’s your Monday going? Tell me somethin good! 🥶❄️☃️
