    The Kachet Life

Lifestyle Tastemaker + Coach for Creatives

    Celebrate with Kachet Event Recap

    October 6, 2018entertaining, lifestyle, sacramento

It would be a dream come true if I could always host a party! There’s nothing I love more than entertaining, connecting with my tribe and creating a meaningful experience for them.  The past few months have been a wonderful whirlwind for me and The Kachet Life and I have been craving connection at home. In the middle of my travels, I had a week at home and wanted to gather some of my friends and fellow creatives for some wine, snacks, and conversation in celebration of my Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker nod!

It was important for me to have this gathering as a reminder that we all have to stop celebrate more. We can get so caught up in the day to day of life that we don’t stop to take a moment and celebrate our accomplishments, the big ones, and the small ones, too. I have been on the go and almost missed the opportunity to celebrate such a meaningful recognition.

With just a week to put it the event together, but I decided to contact some of my favorite local partners and they helped me pull it off! I am so grateful to have so many partners that have really become friends. Their belief in my brand and the content we work to create means so much to me. Their support of my other endeavors including The Blog Bloc means even more. In addition to inviting some friends, I decided to share it with my Instagram fam because their support helped me achieve some of my goals. It takes a village and I’m so thankful!

    The Venue

I wanted the gathering to feel intimate, so my friends with Fulcrum Property opened the doors to the last Modern at Eames Walk home for sale in The Bridge District. I went there a month prior for a pop-up shop and open house and loved it. I couldn’t believe it was still available, but I was so excited to have The Kachet Life’s first event there!

The design was ultra modern and open. Like with all parties, people mainly stayed in the kitchen. That worked out perfectly due to double sliding doors to the patio!

    The Details

Because the house was beautifully furnished, we didn’t need to change much around. It felt like home! If I went out on one detail, it was the nametags. I was so excited to have Ashley Baumgartner do some calligraphy for me. I believe that sometimes the tiniest details can make the event a little extra special!

My friend Ashley couldn’t make it to the event, but she left her mark with these fancy nametags for my guests!

Wooden Trays for Rustic Entertaining - Nugget Markets Gourmet to Go
Nugget Markets’ Gourmet to Go trays always come in clutch for entertaining with ease (and style).

I can always count on Nugget Markets to come through with some crowd-pleasing treats. Their Gourmet to Go menu made it so easy because the food is beautifully plated in wooden rustic serving platters, so you don’t even have to dress about your tablescape. I ordered the Antipasto, Vegetarian Mezze, and California Favorites Cheese platters and they were enjoyed by all. I’ve used Nugget for parties and The Blog Bloc events and you really can’t go wrong with any of their offerings. When in doubt, always go for the cheese. The California one is to diiiiiie for!

The Kachet Life - Phantom Wine at September Event

My friends at Bogle Vineyards provided some of their Phantom wines for the event! Phantom is their latest label, which is a spooky ode to their winery spirit. I was able to enjoy both during the party and I’m so glad I did. Their Chardonnay has notes of green apple and pear with a creamy finish and it is absolutely delicious. Their red wine blend has Petite Syrah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes. It is full of rich berry notes with a bold spice at the end. It’s rich and every red drinker’s new favorite wine. Trust me!

Peace Love & Eat Cake - Mini Cupcake Display
Ashley of Peace Love & Eat Cake made mini versions of my favorite kinds of cupcakes. Aren’t they cute?
I love gifts and raffles, so naturally I had one featuring some of my favorite products from NYFW parties.

The air in our lungs. The friends we can hug. And of course, the delicious food we can enjoy with them, too. 🙂 Thank you for showing The Kachet Life some love. <3

This is the mood I am embodying all week as I talk This is the mood I am embodying all week as I talk back to the mean girl in my own head! That bitch always shows up right when I “get ready” to do something. What about you? Let’s face em together.

There is no right time.
There is no cheat code.
You just have to humble yourself, frickin show up and DO IT.
It can be as fun or regimented as you decide so long as you are moving in a forward direction, a direction that takes you closer to that goal.

Are you waiting for the right time? And no, I’m not asking for a friend. I’m asking for myself. There will be no more ideas living in a notebook until it “feels good.” If it feels good, it ain’t growth or taking US higher!

Celebrate the win in advance if you have to. Whatever gets you going (yes, I believe in dessert first).

WHAT HAS SNOWMAGEDDON TAUGHT ME? That there is po WHAT HAS SNOWMAGEDDON TAUGHT ME?

That there is power in community and Dallas reminds me a lot of Sacramento right now. Shoutout to @dallasites101 for going ALL OUT with their resources.

That love will always save the day and maybe not in the way you think but just in the way you need.

That having no power in or out of unit for days and not being able to leave because the roads are so bad is no fucking joke. Talk about a reality check and gratitude break on so many fronts.

That I really need to get my emergency kit to include “Snowy Conditions” and get a damn shovel + boots. Maybe a truck instead of the Mini? 🚙

Who knew it got like this in Dallas?! 🤯🤯🤯 I didn’t. AT ALL. We’re beyond blessed to have a warm and safe place right now with food, hot water and more.

Prayers up 🙏🏾for everyone that is going through it during this time and for those that still don’t have power, that can’t get to loved ones and those that are having a hard time dealing with this on top of the fact that we’re in a global pandemic. I always say the new year truly starts in February, but it looks like it might be March this time.

I heard it’s going to be 72 and ☀️next week… y’all, I can’t make this stuff up!

Are you affected by the weather?! Where are you located?
#KachetTakesDallas
Happy Monday, y’all! What is going on? Well, her Happy Monday, y’all! What is going on? Well, here are answers to your questions (😆😆):
◾️Yes, it’s snowing in Dallas...it’s 12 degrees right now. And it’s gonna be cold with potentially more snow this week. WTF
◾️We had power but now it’s off again...daytime is okay but night time sucks.
◾️I have on a fleece under here but of course when I posed, the sleeves pulled up in the coat (now I get the thumb hole concept...). I don’t own boots for this so my California is showing! ☀️🕶🌴
◾️ @lifeofrudytheboston HATES it as you can tell from his face...but he managed to run for at least 5 min with a pack of other dogs at the park. Thank the LAWD.
◾️ Being snowed in in a city that doesn’t do snow feels crazy. But it’s kind of nice and this will make a helluva story one day.

How’s your Monday going? Tell me somethin good! 🥶❄️☃️
“But you’re not a designer..” My reply: “S “But you’re not a designer..” My reply: “So?”

I had another influencer tell me that once. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I haven’t ever nor will I claim to be one, but there’s something about personalizing a space and leaving no corner untouched that gives me a rush! And I will share it as long as I feel like it. 🤣 Small spaces are my jam, and in true Thursday fashion, I had to throw it back to the first place that truly got the wheels turning for me!
—
I called it the treehouse because it was on the 2nd floor and it was surrounded by trees! The only drawbacks were street parking, no laundry (fluff + fold, hello!) + the lack of counter space for a chef like me, but I made it work with a piece of wood that cornered the sink as well as a drop leaf table that was attached the wall. This space made it to @apartmenttherapy (linked the feature in my bio if you’re curious) and it affirmed my love of small spaces, as you’ve seen over the years. Fast forward to today — and I’m at it again! I’ve got a living room + bedroom on my hands. One is 50% complete. I’ll be sharing more next week and can’t wait to hear what you think!

What projects are you tackling this year? And what vibe are you trying to evoke? For me, it’s all about luxurious comfort and feeling like I’m on vaca. 🛋🏝😎#AtHomeWithKachet
