How I Packed A Carry-On for 10 Days in Europe

Y’all. I’m home, and so thrilled to be back. Maybe you caught up with my travels on Instagram, but in case you missed it, I was in Europe for 10 days! You might not believe this, but, it’s true. I only took a carry on my trip!

I’m calling it a lesson learned.

I packed so many clothes for Paris two years ago and I didn’t even wear half of them. I ended up reaching for my trusty favorites to wear numerous times. So, this time around, I told myself I wasn’t making the same mistake twice and decided to pack light. I took only items that I could wear multiple ways and were easy to layer. And, the key, my friends was ROLLING MY CLOTHES and LINING THE BOTTOM OF THE CASE WITH SHOES.

Here’s what went!

Clothing

• 1 tee shirt
• 2 blouses
• 1 sleeveless sweater
• 2 pairs of jeans
• Pair of pants
• 1 jumpsuit
• 3 dresses
• Swimsuit
• Trenchcoat
• Leather Jacket

Here are some of the “greatest hits” that you need in your closet (and suitcase)

Shoes

Gosh, this was the hardest part. I honestly packed

• My Adidas Stan Smiths
• Black/Pearl heels
• Pair of sandals
• Ballet flats

Jewelry & Accessories

I kept it simple in this department, and honestly, I didn’t even wear all of what I packed.

Jewelry

• Hoop earrings – gold and silver
• 2 pairs of stud earrings
• Tassel earrings
• 2 necklaces
• 3 bracelets
• 3 rings

Accessories

• Scarf
• Evening bag
• Gray cross body bag
• 3 pairs of sunglasses
• Umbrella

Personal Item

I took my new tote bag as my personal item, containing these items.

• Phone with battery pack case
• Earpods
• Camera
• All chargers
• Pouch of eye drops, nasal spray, pill box, wet wipes, and moisturizer
• iPad
• A book, magazine, and notebook
• And of course, a Carry On Cocktail Kit!

CJ brought a small duffle in his bag in case we brought some treasures home, and of course, we did. I mean, I HAD to do a little bit of shopping, right? 🙂 I ended up checking this suitcase on the return trip and carried the duffle aboard. I am SO HAPPY I went this route. It made life so much easier.
