Playing Santa With The UPS Store: How They’re Making Our Lives Easier This Holiday

    November 21, 2020lifestyle

This post has been sponsored by The UPS Store. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The UPS Store-Holiday Shipping-The Kachet Life

The season of giving is upon us! I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe it’s here. This year has been unlike any we’ve ever experienced, and that’s even more reason to believe in the magic of the holiday season. That means keeping or creating traditions, enjoying delicious foods, and bringing joy to others, among other things. Because my fiance and I moved to Dallas at the beginning of 2020, we’ve decided not to travel to the West and East Coasts to celebrate the holidays this year. But, that’s not going to stop the holiday cheer! We’re going to send personally wrapped gifts to our loved ones, and we’re trusting The UPS Store to get them there.

The UPS Store is here to make all of our lives easier, whether we’re playing Santa or CEO. I’ll be wearing both hats but the most prominent one will be Santa, and I’m so happy that The UPS Store is just a few blocks away from our home because they’re a convenient, helpful, and reliable solution for me this holiday.

Your Holiday Plan with The UPS Store

With nearly 5,000 locations, The UPS Store offers convenient solutions for busy customers alike and business owners alike, all in one place. This holiday, they are pulling out all of the stops to make sure our holiday gifting goes smoothly, no matter the size of the items. Their certified packing experts put just as much care into packing our gifts as we do, so just bring in your gifts and let them take over! When they pack and ship items using materials from The UPS Store, the cost of packing and shipping is all-inclusive. If there’s a snafu, they will cover the value of the items if lost or stolen. It’s peace of mind during a time where we need the assurance that it’s handled! I brought in a few gifts to send to California since I did some early holiday shopping.

    The UPS Store Experience

It was super easy when I went into my neighborhood location. Once you’re at the counter, you’ll place your items on the scale to weigh and a store associate will measure them and ask standard shipping questions to find the appropriate packing material for your gifts. From there, they’ll ask for the recipient’s address and talk through your various shipping options + rates. I know they can handle the job. Just think of how many UPS trucks we see on our streets around the holidays.

But that’s not all! There are many other services at The UPS Store including printing (i.e. holiday cards), shredding, P.O. Boxes, and more. I didn’t just bring my boxes for shipping, I also brought my shred pile of papers that’s been sitting in my office. If you’re doing some purging and organizing before the year ends, know that you can check two boxes off at once when you make your trip there!

    The UPS Store-Holiday Shipping

Are you prepping for your big Santa moment? Well, after you find the perfect gifts and add your loving touch, here are some ways that you can make sure your experience goes smoothly:

    • Cull all of the addresses you’re shipping to in advance. This way, you keep your time in the location to a minimum (and everyone else waiting) down and can hand it over to ensure accuracy once it’s entered in the system.
    • Have the approximate value of your items noted so you can share during the transaction. This will come in handy just in case anything happens.
    • Don’t be a Scrooge. While The UPS Store will have extended hours and extra hands to help with the holiday rush, remember if you’re in line, everyone is there for the same reason and trying to be safely six feet apart so remember to breathe andif you’re lucky like I was, there will be Christmas music playing while you wait..

Now, go forth and conquer the rest of 2020. Check out The UPS Store website for all of the info you need to plan your holiday!

Happy Monday + Happy MLK Day to you! I woke up thi Happy Monday + Happy MLK Day to you! I woke up this morning saying it was gonna be a good day. So here I am! HERE FOR IT. So I’ll pass the good vibes onto you. Let’s do something our future selves will thank us for and be of service to our fellow sisters (and brothers, too). Inauguration Day is just a couple of days away...so many emotions. How are you doing over there?
Hello from me + sunbathing @lifeofrudytheboston! I Hello from me + sunbathing @lifeofrudytheboston! I knew I was gonna take a break from social media, but I didn’t realize it was gonna be two weeks. 👀 Been trying to transition into 2021 with a clear head, lots of gratitude, reflecting, reading, healing and adopting some new habits. I’ve got major goals this year and I’m trying to stay consistent, starting with my daily routine. I’ve got my SQUAD personally + professionally to hold me accountable. I won’t be stopped. ⚡️

Y’all - We learned the lessons last year. Now it’s time to apply. Remember that awakening last June? Yeah, that was just the beginning. I hope you’re paying attention to what’s happening around you. There’s a lot more work to do and we need to do it together.
—
How are you doing over there? What’s new in your neck of the woods?
Why am I smiling + kneeling in the bathroom? Becau Why am I smiling + kneeling in the bathroom? Because I partnered with @homedepot to tile the floor of our half bath with QuicTile by @daltile! 🤩 This is the first major DIY over here and after having the tile around for a bit, we had to just go for it — and let me just tell you, I wish we had done it sooner.
-
From prep to reveal, the refresh happened in just matter of hours. And now, the half bath feels like we’re somewhere else… 🤣 maybe a hotel?! ➡️SWIPE TO SEE THE BEFORE.

Wondering how it happened in hours? You install the QuicTile on top of the existing floors by putting down an underlayment to protect the surface below. The tiles “click” together and before you know it, it’s time for grout. Seriously. There are so many different variations of QuicTile that you can have fun with in any room of your home! It doesn’t have to be scary. Click the link in my bio to get to the post with process details and to see it all happen.
-
And selfishly, I can’t wait until it’s safe to have people over so they can see the glow up! The plan now is to add pictures and wacky art on the walls so it gets people talking. Are you planning any home projects for 2021? Tell me what you’re up to!

You’ve been here for all of my bubbly moments ☺️ (thank you, BTW) and it’s about time I share what I look for when I head to the wine shop! Now, they may have some similarities but each brut rose gives the palate a different experience!
-
And yes, I shared where to get it and what to pair with it, although, a glass of bubbles by itself is always appropriate! 😉 Click the link in my bio for the full roundup and let me know what you think, if you’ve tried any of them, and if you have a rec to share. Cheers and let’s say goodbye to this year with a little flair!
