Last week I went absolutely crazy on Instagram Stories sharing all about this Sunday Funday outing at the Palladio. I was so touched when the Palladio team and MKTNG invited me to be part of it and I had to do a recap on the blog!
I had so much fun with Ruthie, Vanessa and Julia shopping, eating and playing.
Before I get started, let me tell you about the Palladio. Palladio is a center in Folsom (Broadstone) that is the premier destination for shopping and entertainment. In addition to retail, the Palladio has restaurants, a movie theater, and even a Whole Foods! If you’re as busy as I have been lately, you’ll appreciate that you can seriously get everything done at one center, groceries included.
The center is beautiful, with Italian inspired architecture. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your friends and family, whether you’re doing some back-to-school shopping or enjoying a date night. At many different times of the year, the center is activated for events like summer concerts, yoga in the piazza and the upcoming fall festival!
I along with the three other bloggers kicked off our Sunday Funday at Apricot Lane Boutique with a champagne toast, desserts, and a style session.
From there, we ventured around to stores like H&M, Nordstrom Rack, and Charming Charlie to get some fall shopping done. I was able to find two outfits, including one complete look for around $50! As I’ve mentioned in many posts, I love neutrals for the fall and winter season. They make mixing and matching items so easy. I can’t wait to show you all of the goodies I found in upcoming posts.
As if a successful shopping trip wasn’t enough, we split up into teams for the second half of our Sunday Funday. Following our final shopping stop and clean up at Nordstrom Rack, Ruthie and I made our way for express massages at Serenity Spa. Lately, I’ve had some extra tense spots on my neck and shoulders, so the treatment from Deanna couldn’t have been more on time.
Once I came up from my “zen-ed out” haze, I made my way down to MAC to meet up with the rest of the ladies for a little bit of freshening up before dinner. I had the pleasure of working with Hannah, who was very good about sharing the products she was using and her method of applying them.
Why freshen up after shopping? Well, the true question is, why leave, go home, and get dressed again just to come back out for dinner? 😉 We ended up eating at the Barnes & Noble Kitchen restaurant, which is much more luxurious than you’d think. First off, there are only three in the country and the food is so good. I don’t think you’ll understand just how good until you make your way there!
The Barnes & Noble at the Palladio is the fourth location to have a Kitchen inside. It’s also the only one on the west coast, so we are truly lucky! And guess what? The food was amazing! Please try the brick chicken. I promise you won’t regret it.
I can’t wait to get back to the Palladio for more fall fabulousness and – is it too early to say it? – holiday shopping. Stay tuned for my outfit posts featuring my Palladio finds!
