A couple of months ago I received an email from the Park Winters team inviting me to take part in a magical, one-of-a-kind all-day event. The day promised to be filled with poolside relaxation, offerings from a curated collection of food & drink vendors from Northern California, demos, and dreamy photo ops. Can I just tell you that they totally over-delivered on that promise?! It was a truly amazing day with truly amazing people. The best part is that it felt like we had been transported to a land far, far away, yet we were close to home! Nestled in the lush farmlands of Yolo County, Park Winters is a private country estate in Winters, California (40 minutes from Sacramento, add an hour if you’re coming from San Francisco). It’s an easy escape, one I plan to make a couple of times this month in honor of my birthday!
Summerland was an amazing experience, one that the team has said they will have again (PLEASE!). While there were so many beautiful vignettes to catch your eye, I really appreciated the effort the Park Winters team put into making sure attendees had a variety of scheduled activities to enjoy. From a boutonniere bar to tarot card readings, to an ice cream truck and wine tasting, you couldn’t find yourself bored!
After a fun day of networking, relaxing, eating and frozé-ing all day, it was time to get freshened up and changed for the evening festivities. You’d think we had our fill of fun laying by the pool and under the trees, but no! It was time for some chocolate tasting, cocktail hour and dinner by the award-winning Park Winters kitchen!
In addition to its beautiful property, Park Winters is known for its Farm Dinner service. Each Farm Dinner represents the story of the season using fresh and local ingredients: some from neighboring farms, and some foraged from their own property! The team works so hard to create an unforgettable dining experience for all to enjoy. They are open to the public and occur on Thursday evenings. Reservations are required. As an attendee of Summerland, we were to able to have the three-course version of the farm dinner. Don’t even get me started on that Steelhead Trout…. SO GOOD!
While the Summerland event was the first of its kind, Park Winters is creating beautiful experiences with meaning year-round. The property is available for retreats, weddings and special events. Park Winters offers day passes for its luxurious pool, Farm Dinner experiences, and garden and floral workshops. It’s too easy to be captivated by the dreamy gardens, country charm, and gorgeous mountain backdrop! If you want to make it an even more luxurious experience, you can spend the night at the Inn at Park Winters, a boutique bed and breakfast.
Stay in the loop for all events and happenings by visiting the Park Winters website. There’s never a dull moment on their Instagram account, so give them a follow, too. Maybe I’ll see you at an upcoming farm dinner! xo
