Summer is upon us and since we kind of missed it last year, the idea of getting back into my seasonal routines gets me SO excited. Warmer temps, eating outside and hitting the road for some adventure — and we can’t forget, summer dresses and accessories. Over the years, my clothing style has evolved to include more elevated basics, but I always like to make sure my accessories make a statement, starting with my sunglasses.
Are you in the market for some new sunglasses this season? Of course you are! 😉 Here are some of my tips for picking out the perfect pair to match your face shape and personality.
Select Your Style
This is the FUN part! While you can absolutely choose whatever style you want, you’ll want to consider your face shape to look your best. For me, I have a more square face, so I have fun with aviators and round/square lenses. I was recently introduced to the Randolph USA brand and I chose the Elinor Fusion for a classic look with a little bit of vintage flair (more on the Fusion collection below). Oval face? You can get away with larger frames. If you’re more of a round shape, a wider framed sunglasses will really complement your face. Heart shaped? Try a smaller aviator or even a cat-eye!
Consider Your Frame Materials
From tortoise to metal, from fun colors and prints to classic black, there are so many sunglasses out there made of various materials. You want to consider the use of them (sports, leisure, professional) because while style is important, so is function. Another reason I loved discovering Randolph is because the brand blends fashion and function with durability. Every frame is engineered to perfection, crafted by highly-skilled artisans in over six weeks and 200 steps.
Look for Protection
Beyond looking cool in them (yeah, I said it), sunglasses protect your eyes. You want to ensure that your lenses offer you maximum UVA/UVB protection. If you’re more active, you may want a polarized lens to cut the glare and help keep you from squinting. And if you’re worried about fine lines around your eyes, the larger the frame to cover the area, the better in supporting your anti-aging routine.
About Randolph USA
Randolph USA creates sunglasses that are purposefully engineered and handcrafted to perform at the highest level. Fun Fact: Randolph has been contracted with the US military for over 40 years, providing aviators to our service members (they also offer a military discount).
Their SkyTec™ lenses are created to perform at the highest level. With three different lens materials to fit your lifestyle, each provide a superior experience with multi-layer coatings as well as blue light and 100% UVA/UVB protection.
The Fusion Collection
As I mentioned in the select your frame section, my glasses are the Elinor Fusion. They’re part of the Fusion collection and these specific glasses called to me with their touch of sophistication. Loving anything black and gold, I couldn’t resist the 23k Gold finish with the matte black inlay (I also love the rose gold and gray/gunmetal). The Fusion collection features classic Randolph styles, reinvented with premium Mazzucchelli Acetate hand inlayed into the rims, with matching temple tips. The Fusion Collection features SkyForce Air™ gradient lightweight lenses for ultimate clarity and all-day comfort. They’re super lightweight and fun to wear. I received a compliment from a stranger as I was crossing the street!
No matter if the Fusion collection or another calls out to you, you can count on Randolph sunglasses taking you where you want to go this season, in style, of course. Learn more and check out styles at RandolphUSA.com.
