Oh, man. the One Room Challenge recovery was real, and right before I crossed the finish line, I was invited to Hoshall’s for a little break in the busy.
I had never been to Hoshall’s before this visit. I had heard about it for years, starting as a child, and mostly when I had overheard a mention of going there in grown folks’ conversation or from that one friend of my moms who would always love a gift card there when it came to holidays. Needless to say, I guess I never crossed over the bridge of being a kid with it and realizing that I, too, could go to Hoshall’s and take in everything it had to offer.
Since the days I just recalled, Hoshall’s has moved from its original Carmichael location to a larger location in Folsom, making their salon & spa an even grander experience for guests.
Their invitation came at the right time, but I didn’t believe that until afterward. My mind was telling me that I had so much more to do before closing out ORC, but then I stopped and thought about it: I deserved a little break, especially after everything I had accomplished in such a short period of time, and it made the end that much sweeter! 🙂
Hoshall’s isn’t new to this pampering thing. The salon and spa was founded over 40 years ago, and over the last decade, Hoshall’s has won “Best Salon” and “Best Spa” in Sacramento. In 2016, Hoshall’s became an all women-owned business when longtime employees Kathy Fennessy and Mary Brigham became business partners and took Hoshall’s to the next level. Their passion for the team and guests is undeniable upon meeting each of them.
The Hoshall’s team also invited Rebecca (yes, that Rebecca!) and Ashley to take part in the special day and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. They are not only my friends but members of The Blog Bloc since the very beginning and it means so much to have friends who support my passions, too. We are all so busy hustling, trying to make things happen and the break in the busy was so appreciated across the board!
When you make the trip to Hoshall’s, you can really have it all. They offer several services including hair extensions, massage, facial, body treatments, and nail services. The Desert Dry Sauna and Turkish Steam shower are available to anyone having a spa service or you can enjoy a la carte for a small fee! You can absolutely make a day out of it. A day for you… or for you and your crew…or boo!
Thinking you need to make treating yourself a priority? Your hand should be raised. 🙂 Hoshall’s offers a monthly membership that includes a shampoo or blowout, a glass of house wine or an exclusive drink, and unlimited use of spa amenities.
During my visit, I had a Swedish massage, signature facial and a gel manicure.
Pampering can seem like it’s that nice bottle of wine that you’re holding onto for a special occasion. I believe you should enjoy it whenever you want and the same goes for when you book yourself an appointment at the spa. In the end, you’re never mad that you did it. Hoshall’s has a membership that makes taking care of you, easy. You are allowed one signature service per month, plus access to all of the amenities and discounts on other services throughout the month. If there’s one more recurring meeting invite that I want to add to my calendar, it’s going to “Time at Hoshall’s”
