This is volume one of three ways to wear sequins this holiday season (and beyond)!

I remember when I first saw this sequined jacket. My friend Rebecca was wearing it in her Closet Case feature that followed after mine. This was in the infancy of my blogging tenure and we hadn’t met in person. Fast forward five years (OMG), and she and I have become friends. She’s a constant source of support and I can always count on her for a good laugh. This summer I asked her “Whatever happened to that sequined jacket you wore on Erin’s blog?” She told me she still had it, but it was in the back her closet. I then said something to the effect of, “Well, if you ever decide to consign it, please let me know first. I would really love it.” We got together for a pre-holiday lunch and guess who showed up with a gift bag. Rebecca. Guess what was in it, nicely wrapped in tissue paper, THE JACKET!

Dreams do come true, and I’m so honored to have it passed down to me because I LOVE ANYTHING WITH SEQUINS.

It doesn’t have to be the holidays, however, that makes wearing them even more special and fun. This first look I’m sharing is perfect for that holiday happy hour you’re attending. It has a little bit of class and sass without revealing everything.  During the shoot, I kept saying, “Oh wow, this is a little bit busty,” but, if you’ve got it, flaunt it! If you’re not feeling the bodysuit, you could always opt for a basic shell blouse or a t-shirt, in white, black, or any of the colors in the jacket. You could even wear it over a dress! I wore simple gold jewelry, but you could layer necklaces if that’s your style! Do whatever feels good to you.
