Head & Shoulders Moisture Care

CSP_8757r for web
A good relationship requires effort, patience and loving care and this hair of mine and I are constantly improving ours. I love to change up my look with curly and straight hair (you never know what style I’m going to be rockin from my Instagram feed), however, I’ve been experimenting with different styles and products using my curly texture.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my go-to fro, but as my hair gets longer, I’m leaning more toward styles that have little manipulation of my hair and toward products that moisturize the heck out of my  hair and scalp. I was so honored when Clever Girls reached out to me regarding Head & Shoulders Moisture Care line because I had heard about it from a friend and it went on my  list of things to try. I’ve used Head & Shoulders sporadically in life because of flaky scalp (just keepin it real) but in conjunction with other products for moisture. This line solves both.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that the Natural Care line is a curly girl’s dream. It was designed for textured hair and has all of the properties we curlies need: vitamin e, almond oil, and of course, dandruff-fighting zinc.

Between the 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner, co-wash, and scalp soother, I have to say my favorite product out of all is the Scalp Soother. Currently in my routine, I like to use it after I’ve left the gym. It’s the ultimate cooling treat that still has moisturizing properties. Do you see that “ahh” face?

In my experimentation with different styles, I revisited one that I’ve had success with in the past. I created it by separating my freshly washed hair in medium sized sections, two-strand twisting all the way to the ends, and coiling the hair into a knot. I slept in my knots (more comfortable than you think) and then uncoiled and untwisted my hair. After a few head flips and finger combing to rejoin the hair, I was bouncing around town with my new do. And with just a mini hair clip and a couple of bobby pins, I created the fun and flirty up-do that you see below!

My new hair was a big hit this week and it was super easy to pull off. While the styling was all me, I gotta give it up for the Moisture Care line for 1. making it easy to comb my hair, 2. moisturizing the heck out of it, and 3. being affordable!
