Gifts with Care: Services, Experiences and More

    December 11, 2018home, lifestyle

The holiday season is in full swing and if you haven’t started your holiday shopping yet, anxiety may be setting in as you think about what to pick up for those on your list.  Have you considered shaking it up from your normal pajamas, perfume, or purse gift routine and gifting an experience with care? Don’t get me wrong. I like opening presents as much as the next person. But, as I’m getting older, I appreciate experiences so much more than tangible items, and after speaking to several of my friends, it would appear that we’re all moving a little more in that direction.

I’ve rounded up a few gift ideas that will help make your loved one’s life a little easier, more organized, blossoming and even documented through imagery. Scroll on to see what I’m talking about…

    Professional organization by Tidy Revival

Everyone has a drawer, closet, or room that they wish looked different. Whether it’s in the house or garage, everyone at one point or another has had to set aside time on the weekend to organize and purge. Well, your loved one doesn’t have to do it alone! Carly of Tidy Revival is here to save the day, and I speak from experience. I hired Carly to help us organize our garage, office and pantry, and can I just tell you, it has been such a game changer. The consultation before tackling the project was worth it in itself!

Because it looked so nice when each project was complete, it makes you want to keep it that way. Carly can get all in your business and overhaul your home or office, or tackle a tiny project. Give a gift certificate and let your recipient decide.

Interior Design Services by Studio Plumb

Is your friend always watching HGTV and reading Better Homes & Gardens? Do you talk more about paint colors than what’s trending on Twitter? Why not gift them a little piece of their home & garden heaven with interior design services. Rebecca of Studio Plumb is here to help!

    Self-Care Support from Tami Hackbarth

Do you have a busy friend? The one that says yes to too many things, and ends up feeling like everything is one step away from falling apart?  She may need a self-care coach, and I have just the person in mind. Tami Hackbarth of 100% Guilt-Free Self Care is my friend, collaborator, and self-care coach. Tami works with women that feel like they’ve lost a little bit of control of their lives. Happy Monday + Happy MLK Day to you! I woke up thi Happy Monday + Happy MLK Day to you! I woke up this morning saying it was gonna be a good day. So here I am! HERE FOR IT. So I’ll pass the good vibes onto you. Let’s do something our future selves will thank us for and be of service to our fellow sisters (and brothers, too). Inauguration Day is just a couple of days away...so many emotions. How are you doing over there?
Hello from me + sunbathing @lifeofrudytheboston! I Hello from me + sunbathing @lifeofrudytheboston! I knew I was gonna take a break from social media, but I didn’t realize it was gonna be two weeks. 👀 Been trying to transition into 2021 with a clear head, lots of gratitude, reflecting, reading, healing and adopting some new habits. I’ve got major goals this year and I’m trying to stay consistent, starting with my daily routine. I’ve got my SQUAD personally + professionally to hold me accountable. I won’t be stopped. ⚡️
—
Y’all - We learned the lessons last year. Now it’s time to apply. Remember that awakening last June? Yeah, that was just the beginning. I hope you’re paying attention to what’s happening around you. There’s a lot more work to do and we need to do it together.
—
How are you doing over there? What’s new in your neck of the woods?
Why am I smiling + kneeling in the bathroom? Becau Why am I smiling + kneeling in the bathroom? Because I partnered with @homedepot to tile the floor of our half bath with QuicTile by @daltile! 🤩 This is the first major DIY over here and after having the tile around for a bit, we had to just go for it — and let me just tell you, I wish we had done it sooner.
-
From prep to reveal, the refresh happened in just matter of hours. And now, the half bath feels like we’re somewhere else… 🤣 maybe a hotel?! ➡️SWIPE TO SEE THE BEFORE.

Wondering how it happened in hours? You install the QuicTile on top of the existing floors by putting down an underlayment to protect the surface below. The tiles “click” together and before you know it, it’s time for grout. Seriously. There are so many different variations of QuicTile that you can have fun with in any room of your home! It doesn’t have to be scary. Click the link in my bio to get to the post with process details and to see it all happen.
-
And selfishly, I can’t wait until it’s safe to have people over so they can see the glow up! The plan now is to add pictures and wacky art on the walls so it gets people talking. Are you planning any home projects for 2021? Tell me what you’re up to!

-
You’ve been here for all of my bubbly moments ☺️ (thank you, BTW) and it’s about time I share what I look for when I head to the wine shop! Now, they may have some similarities but each brut rose gives the palate a different experience!
-
And yes, I shared where to get it and what to pair with it, although, a glass of bubbles by itself is always appropriate! 😉 Click the link in my bio for the full roundup and let me know what you think, if you’ve tried any of them, and if you have a rec to share. Cheers and let’s say goodbye to this year with a little flair!
