The Basic Sweater Dress

Happy October! Fall has finally decided to show up which means it’s time to whip out the sweaters, jackets and boots. Yay!

As we fully embrace the fall season and the gradually dipping temps, I always like to add a few items to my already audited fall wardrobe. Now, I love wearing splashy color, and I love a bright pattern, but nothing beats the wearability of neutrals! I strongly suggest adding some core pieces to your wardrobe, like this grey sweater dress from Artizia.

I call this look from casual office to happy hour, and because the temperatures haven’t dipped too much yet, I showed a little bit of leg with a side of fringe! But this is another one of those great, multi-wear dresses! A knit sweater dress like this can be worn with:

  • Tall, even over-the-knee boots
  • A vest: puffy, fur, or cargo
  • Knee highs and Mary Janes
  • Leather jacket
  • Leggings and sneakers
  • Wool panama hat
  • Blanket scarf

Fun Fact: By researching these shoes online after I purchased them, I discovered some of the hanging tassels on the back are meant to wrap around the front of the shoe. I like letting them hang a lot better!
