It’s not quite summer yet, but it’s knocking on our door here in Sacramento. With sunshine one day and a cool breeze the next, outer layers are so so important. This long trench vest has walked onto the scene and changed things up in a major way.

First off, let me just apologize for getting your hopes up about this trench vest. They are hard to find and it’s sold out online except for plus size. It was part of the launch of the Who What Wear collection at Target and sold out pretty quickly. The only reason I got my hands on this is because I stopped at a Target store in a rural area on the way home from out of town not far from the launch date. I’ve linked some similar ones and be sure to check your stores regularly too in case someone returns one!

While I’m wearing this with cropped jeans and a basic white tee, it’s definitely had its fair share of remixed looks.  I’ve worn it with a black dress underneath. I’ve worn it with tall boots, flat sandals and wedges. I’ve worn it with a hat and a big tote bag. It really is that one piece that you can throw on top of anything and look exceptionally chic.

One way I coordinated this with the white tee and jeans was a subtle pop of color…a pop of PINK. The Pompeii Necklace from Park Lane Jewelry is my fav because of the tassel flair! I took the pink and matched my lipstick with it. If you aren’t comfortable with loud colors, that is the best way to ease into your pop of color. Small hints go a long way! 🙂
