Have you heard? I’ve been featured in Sacramento News & Review’s Best of Sacramento 2015 roundup! It’s an absolute honor to be featured in this highly anticipated issue and it’s made even sweeter by having my mug on the cover – the glossy cover, at that. 🙂

The issue came out while I was overseas, so I was receiving notifications and images from all of my friends on social media. Man, I’ve got some awesome people in my life! Now that I’m back in town, it’s been pretty hilarious driving by the red boxes (where all of the SNR’s are distributed) and seeing my face across them. Never in all of the years that I’ve been reading SNR would I have thought I’d be featured. Sometimes I forget just how far The Lipstick Giraffe has come.

When I was in Paris, I did a lot of reflecting on where I’ve been and where I’m taking this thing. Sometimes I truly have to pinch myself so that I know this is real. Really! I’m sure to those who have been watching me over the years can believe it, but honestly, I’m just a girl who found something I enjoyed and turned every stone that was placed in front of me on my journey and crossed my fingers. The destination is still to be determined, but I’ll tell you one thing, it’ll be on my terms. 🙂 It’s been an interesting ride, one that I almost ended two years ago when I moved to San Francisco, and I’m so glad that I stuck with it. I’m so glad you stuck with it.
