I’d like to say that I spend my days tending to The Lipstick Giraffe in my posh office during the week, but the truth is, much of this I take on the road and fit in at various points in the day and the Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro has made this Content Creating Fashionista’s life much easier.
Welcome to my couch, where many of my ideas begin. My living room gets such great light, so it’s easy to get comfortable, enjoy a delicious beverage, and dive right into TLG maintenance. I begin by checking and replying to comments on the blog and on social media, engage with some of my favorite blogs/brands and create the framework for a post (or posts). The sleek design of the Lenovo YOGA and speedy processor make it easy for me to bounce from one thing to the next. It’s so lightweight, and easier to maneuver than my laptop.
For those who aren’t familiar with Lenovo, they’re an innovator in the tablets and 2-in-1 laptop space. The Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro was designed by Ashton Kutcher, who is Lenovo’s product engineer and was hands on in the concept and development the product. The tablet is awesome in that you can hold it, tilt it, or use the stand for ease in typing.
After making progress in some of the other areas of TLG, it’s time to get to creating content. For me, inspiration comes in many forms, and in many places, but it mostly comes when I’m around people. Now, these people don’t always have to be those whom I know personally, so getting down to business and writing in an open space often helps! It’s cliche, but I like going to a local coffee shop. One of my favorites is Insight Coffee Roasters in Downtown Sac (I did an outfit post there). It has an outdoor area perfect for people watching, good WiFi and if you need quiet, there are several little tables inside to get comfy in.
While I’ve grown accustomed to toting my laptop around town, it’s much more convenient to throw my YOGA in my bag since it’s so lightweight, and the kickstand really helps me type and edit posts for both the blog and social media. With a battery life of about 15 hours, I never have to worry about running out of juice (so long as I charge it every now and then 🙂 ).
The one feature on the Lenovo YOGA that I use from time to time and is an absolute godsend, is the Pico projector. Yes, there’s a projector in this thing! It’s hiding right in the barrel and it makes it easy to share the content I’m working on with a friend or one of my clients.
Be sure to check out the Trend Hub at http://lenovotastemakers.com. It’s a place to engage with other bloggers and see how they are using their Lenovo YOGA Tablets! They’re also doing some great giveaways there so don’t miss out on the fun.

Awesome review as I have been looking for something lighter than my Lenovo (aka) IBM laptop!
Thank you! And I would definitely look at the options they have now. The Yoga 3 laptop is a good option too, if you need a keyboard! 🙂 Have a good weekend!
Oh I love your review!! This tablet was fun to use. Also love your sweater 🙂
Thanks lady! Wasn’t it fun? And thank you for the sweater compliment! I struck gold on the Old Navy sale rack nearly 3 years ago. I think I’ll have this until it’s completely worn out…and it’ll still be hard to part with it! 😉
I think your post is awesome. I never even heard of this tablet and because I’m currently in the market for one, I’ll for sure be checking the Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro out! As usual… your blog continues to update me on cool stuff I can use. Thanks Lipstick Giraffe”)
I’m with you. I’d be carrying this Lenovo Yoga everywhere with me. It’s just amazing~! My old Lenovo is 8yrs old and way to heavy to lug. Love those earrings & that sweater too!
