Neutrals should totally be part of your rotation this fall! The look is something you may not even have to shop for, and just need to spend some time pairing some of your favorite neutral color combinations.
If your closet is a little monotone, you could absolutely start with a scarf or outer layer to begin. I would recommend sticking with three different shades, which is what I did in this post!
Tee and Necklace: Old Navy (get it here)
Vest: Crossroads Trading Co. (similar here)
Pants: Bar III at Macy’s (similar)
Shoes: Prabal Gurung for Target
Earrings: Gypsy Mobile Boutique
Purse: Coach (vintage) via Article Consignment Boutique
I started with a basic grey tee and then added an additional layer: a sleeveless blazer. You know me, I love a good vest, and this one adds just the right amount of polish for the office to happy hour! Would you believe me if I told you the tee, the necklace and the vest cost me $16 total? I’ve said it once and will continue to say it: shop the sale racks, even at recycled fashion stores. There is gold waiting to be found by those who have a pinch more patience to look. While I’m on the topic of recycled fashion, if you are into Coach and other classic leather bag styles, check your local consignment boutiques. Coach currently has their “classics” collection in stores, however, these are the style of bags that they had many years ago so you may be able to find the same style or similar that’s gently used for over 50% off. This bag was under $100, still in its original box with dustbag, tags – everything.
Side note: Are you digging the scenery? Sacramento isn’t called the City of Trees for nothing. It’s beautiful this time of year and this East Sac tree lined street made the perfect backdrop for this shoot. 🙂
Enjoy the rest of week. The weekend is near!
