It feels like this year was just getting going and now here we are — embracing the cooler temperatures and embracing the holiday season! As I reflect on 2019, it certainly has been a year that tested me in many ways. I’m really happy that I set the intention of living a healthier lifestyle because a lot of the decisions I made this year took that goal into consideration. Asking myself why I was doing something, if I really needed to be eating that, or simply checking in with myself about how I was feeling had many benefits for my mind, body, and spirit. I learned to trust the process!
I spent a good amount of the year grounded in Sacramento, expanding content and relationships in the region. Toward the end of summer, I started traveling again. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I spent a good amount of 2017 and 2018 on-the-go — domestically and internationally. “Travel” was definitely an itch that I needed to satisfy! I’m lucky that part of the travel included some trips with my favorite brand partners and new friends were made along the way, too.
Having the freedom to take part in the experiences I wanted to during my travels made them even more fun. Of course, I had my Chase Freedom Unlimited cash back credit card handy, making sure that I could earn 1.5% cash back on my purchases away. I kept travel going into fall with a weekend getaway to a new city with one of my best friends. We planned our Denver trip a long time ago and it was both of our first times! It was great to celebrate the end of the year before all of the holiday parties and dinners commenced.
Keeping track of my goal had its ebbs and flows just like life and much was learned on this journey. I learned that consistency and planning ahead is key. I’ve also learned that it’s okay to get off of the wagon. During a month of travel, it took me away from my priorities like my training sessions. I can’t lie, I am seeing and feeling the effects of putting my physical wellness on the back burner. I’m so happy to be back into my routine.
I’m really looking forward to closing out this year on the highest note possible and taking my healthy lifestyle and responsible spending habits with my Chase Freedom Unlimited card into the new decade. Are you with me?
Whether or not you answered that with a strong, “yes!” Chase is now offering new Chase Freedom Unlimited cardmembers a bonus offer available through Chase.com, and in Chase branches: get a $200 bonus after spending $500 in the first three months, so you can join me in setting and achieving your goals. Here’s to ending the year in style.
