Spending time with friends has become more important to me than ever lately. Life is busy, but we absolutely must stop and take a breath sometimes, and spend time nurturing our souls with good people. My blogging bestie/muse Ruthie and I try to schedule our next hang out every time we’re together so it never falls through the cracks. Last Wednesday we went to Cafeteria 15L for one of our dinner dates, and it was so awesome!
Serving up classic American favorites, and house crafted cocktails with a flavorful twist, Cafeteria 15L is located at, you guessed it, the corner of 15th and L Streets. It’s a favorite of mine for brunch (Bacon Jam Benedict with tots, please) and also for their happy hour (it lasts until 7 pm and has so many options), but hadn’t been in for dinner! Their menu has so many different options without being overwhelming, so I knew I’d be pleased, but when their team invited us in for dinner, Ruthie and I couldn’t resist a chance to try some of their popular dishes and cocktails.
What I love most about Cafeteria 15L aside from the delicious food is the space is beautifully designed yet still approachable. “Anytime” is a good time to dine in. You’ll find people dressed casually, and you’ll find some that are guzzied up for date night. The staff has always made me feel at home and the feeling was the same during dinner service.
We started with a few small plates, moved into entrees, and of course, finished with dessert. Take a peek at our evening below!
We had a ball and the food was so good. Whether you are fueling up before a show you’re seeing at Golden 1 Center, celebrating a milestone, or simply don’t feel like cooking, put Cafeteria 15L on your list. You won’t regret it. If you’re like me, and you don’t mind sharing, I would suggest ordering a bunch of items so everyone in your party can have a taste of the different flavors! Like I said above, I go there for brunch a lot, so if you see me there, please say hi! 🙂
