The Paper Bag Waist Trend

Y’all, I’m all about these paper bag waist pants from the Who What Wear collection at Target. A linen pant is so essential during the summer months, but the waist with the tie belt is what hooked me. I know you’ve seen this trend over the past few seasons, but it totally takes me back to the 90’s, and everyone needs a pair. Yes, everyone, no matter your body type.

The cinched waist is designed to accentuate your waistline and show off your curves. Depending on the material, you could wear these to work, to brunch, and even an evening out. I love that these specific paper bag waist pants come in plus size, too, and won’t break the bank.

While some may get on me about wearing a looser top tucked in, I like the semi-fitted look. I chose a black top to have some color blocking fun with the vertical stripes. If you’re going to wear a paper bag waist pant, keep in mind that balance is the most important thing. Because I’m a little curvy, I opted for my favorite mules to give me a little bit of a lift. A platform or wedge would do the trick, also!
