To me, there is nothing that screams classic more than a crisp oxford shirt and some blue jeans. You saw how I did it here not that long ago, but I feel like this look commands a completely different vibe. The jeans take me back to the 90s with their wider open legs and higher rise. I have to admit, I wasn’t sure they were going to work because they have Z E R O stretch in them, but the higher rise gives my derriere full coverage and that is everything!
If you don’t have a crisp white oxford shirt in your closet, you need to get one, and more than one! I have about three and they are all a little bit different. I have never spent more than $30 on one and won’t. And you shouldn’t either! The one I’m wearing is from Old Navy and it makes me very happy. It’s lightweight and breathable, which is a must with summer right around the corner.
The blue heels were a fun addition to this look. Any color would do, though. If you’re going to wear a jean with such a wide leg like this, you want to either wear a heel or a wedge for a little bit of lift. It’s easy to look frumpy in pants like this, and ain’t nobody got time for that!
