Hey ya’ll. Let me tell you about a woman named Erin Draper. She is a designer in Baltimore that is going beyond athleisure and creating clothing that feels good, looks good and takes careful thought in how a woman’s body moves.
How the internet would work, one of the first blogging friends I ever made, Kristy, introduced us. Kristy’s always been on the cutting edge of fashion, design, and media, so I knew Erin had to be the bee’s knees. After chatting with her and learning more about her brand, it was obvious why! Erin has a design degree from Parsons School of Design in NYC and has bridged her aerial dance background with design to create something truly special.
Erin’s pieces are designed to carry you through the various points of your day. Because I’m always running around, and nine out of ten times I am in stretchy pants (yes, I call them stretchy pants), I wanted a piece that would add a feminine touch, more so than my typical hoodie. The Clio Tunic in charcoal was the piece for me. It’s super transitional through seasons and here you can see that I layered mine with a long sleeve shirt. It might be 82 in Dallas today, but it sure isn’t here in Sacramento!
And my tunic is super soft, too! Erin uses jersey, tencel and silk fabrics in her designs. They are so cozy, you may not want to get out of them. For real.
There are times when I don’t wear stretchy pants during the week and put on real pants. I swear. Below is a perfect example of how my Clio tunic transitioned from running around to meeting up with friends.
To enhance the flow of the blouse, I selected bootcut jeans as opposed to a skinny or boyfriend jean. They hug my curves in the right places and balance me out. I always feel that darker denim instantly polishes up an outfit, so the combination was a no-brainer.
And of course, I had to throw a hat on it…
But, there’s something in it for you! Erin was sweet enough to offer a giveaway for TLG followers. Enter below for your chance to win an Erin Draper cape, custom cut for you.
