I love a girls session and Ruthie and Melinda are always in for a good one. I’m so grateful to have them in my corner. We are all busy as you-know-what, but we always find time to get together for some girl talk, fellowship and big dreaming. This time, we were long overdue (the longest we’ve ever gone) and decided to get ahead of the crazy holiday hustle & bustle with a little gift exchange over coffee at the Starbucks Reserve Bar in Downtown Sacramento.

Reunited and it feels so good!

First, let me tell you that we are SO lucky to have a Reserve Bar in Sacramento. There are less than 50 in the country! This Starbucks experience has a bit of prestige, which falls right into The Kachet Life’s vibe (Kachet means prestige). Different than the Reserve roastery in Seattle, the bars offer an intimate small-lot coffee experience. In addition to the traditional menu, they also feature rare and exotic coffees on their reserve menu, which changes seasonally. There is no shortage of places to sit, but good luck finding a power outlet! The atmosphere promotes conversation and interaction, which is just what we wanted!

Once their team shared a little bit about the process, we made a toast and kicked into our girl talk time! Get the Juniper Latte this month. I repeat, GET THE JUNIPER LATTE THIS MONTH. It is oh-so-good!

With travel, business, and family, our fall girl date kept getting pushed further and further but we put our feet down and said we were getting together for the holidays, no matter what, and I’m so glad we did, because one of us had a BIG announcement. Can you believe that Melinda told us she was expecting baby number three in just a couple of months?! I said “Girl, I thought maybe you had just really enjoyed Thanksgiving!” because I could hardly tell when she got up to hug me! So, now our next get together will be a sprinkle! YAY!

At the last minute, we decided to add a gift exchange component which I was all about! Giving and making others feel special is what the holidays are all about. It doesn’t always have to be a tangible gift. It can be of time, support and love. I was blessed to give and receive all of the above from my friends.

Ruthie gave me a beautiful ornament and luggage tag (because I’m always on the go). Melinda gave me some goodies to glam up! I gave the gals each hand creams and candles. I treasure the time I can slow down and wanted to share those vibes with them!
