Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day. It’s been nice and chill over here and the little peek of sunshine today was quite the treat. Earlier today, I was having a conversation with CJ about Black Friday and how my view is completely tainted after having worked so many of them in retail. I was always one of the top three salespeople on Black Friday, so you know I was hustlin! Through that hustle, I’ve seen the not-so-pretty side of it and I can’t help but think of all of the people who overbuy because things are on sale.
I told myself a while ago that I was going to use this Black Friday to refresh my fall and winter wardrobe Some of my favorite items are just starting to look a little worn, while others just don’t fit anymore. I didn’t make a big fuss about it, but I lost about 15 pounds this year so some things are just loose in the wrong places!
This Black Friday, I kept it simple and shopped at Macy’s, Gap and Old Navy. I also picked up a Daily Deal at Sephora!
Earlier this week, I had a TV segment on Good Day Sacramento talking about Macy’s Black Friday deals and was so surprised to learn about the $39.99 cashmere sweaters for women. You read that right! $39.99, and I had the chance to wear one on air. Can I just tell you how soft, lightweight, and warm they were? I ended up stocking up on two. You can never go wrong with cashmere, and they make awesome gifts. Consider getting one for you and one for your mom and sister(friend), too.
Right now, Gap & Old Navy is having 50% off of everything – site and storewide. Since a lot of my seasonal staples come from those stores, I loaded up!
Lastly, I’m not big on eyeshadow, but the best shadow I’ve used as of late was an Urban Decay Naked palette. I’m late to the party, but I couldn’t resist picking up another one, this time, the Heat palette, for 50% off on the Sephora website. They have a few other Daily Wow deals today, and I’m sure more to come as the weekend goes on. I’ll be watching!

kate spade new york: On most days, I’m wearing a kate spade bag. Whether it’s my work bag, crossbody, or boho bag, I have many in my collection. Even my zip-purses and wallets are kate spade. The surprise sale is happening a couple more days, so you want to check it out. Bags are ridiculously cheap and so are accessories. I said I wasn’t going to grab anything, but may have to take a peek and see what I can snag for people on my list.
